macOS

Separate builds for Intel and Apple Silicon

Choose the DMG that matches your Mac hardware.

Open the downloaded DMG and drag the app into Applications.
On first launch, macOS security prompts may require confirmation.
Best suited to macOS 11 or newer.

Linux

Package options for multiple distributions

Pick the format that fits your environment or use the AppImage for a more portable setup.

Ubuntu and Debian users can install with dpkg -i.
Fedora and RHEL users can install the RPM package directly.

System expectations

What to expect before installation

4 GB RAM minimum, with 8 GB or more recommended for larger images.
Hardware with OpenGL 3.0 compatibility is recommended for a smoother experience.
Temporary disk space matters when working with large astronomical files and exports.
