What the Pro license unlocks
Non-destructive editing
- PND Adjust — brightness, contrast, exposure, saturation, color balance. Saved to your library by asset ID, replayed on every load. The original file is never touched.
- PND Crop, Rotate & Flip — per-file transform persistence. Works with RAW, TIFF and all major formats. Reset removes the saved state for one file.
- PFITS stretch saved per file — Asinh, Linear, Sqrt and Log parameters persist across sessions. Free users get interactive stretch in the current session only.
Culling & map
- PAssisted Culling — unlimited — perceptual duplicate review across any number of images. The free trial is limited to a small set per session.
- PMap view — all markers — free tier shows up to 100 geotagged images on the map. Pro removes the limit.
- PDrag-to-tag — drag an image from the map's filmstrip strip onto a map position to embed GPS coordinates directly into the file (JPEG via piexif, others via exiftool).
- PMove GPS markers — drag an existing marker to update coordinates; changes are written back to file metadata.
Batch & conversion
- PConvert to modern formats — WebP, AVIF, JPEG XL, HEIF, JPEG 2000. Classic formats (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, BMP, GIF) are free for everyone.
- PBatch Rename — full pipeline — unlimited rules: Case, Delete, Replace, Add text, Serialize, Randomize. Named presets. Free tier is limited.
- PResolution Analyzer — estimate safe downsize potential via patch analysis, preview side-by-side, then batch-rescale the whole set.
Metadata
- PXMP/IPTC write access — edit Title, Description, Keywords, Creator, Copyright from the unified metadata panel. Free users can read these fields.
- PLightroom sidecar — apply crop and rotation from an XMP sidecar file to the RAW preview (Ctrl+Shift+L).
Cloud services, which we plan to offer in the future (sync, cloud backup, etc.), are not included in this license and will be priced separately when available.

.zip file within a few minutes. The zip contains your .pix42-license — you don't need to extract it. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.
License → Import License… — select the .zip you received, or the extracted .pix42-license inside it. Both work. You can also drag the file onto the app window.

Yes. You pay once and own the license permanently. There is no subscription, no annual renewal, and no expiry date. Future 2.x updates are included.
The license is personal — use it on the machines you own. Re-import the same .zip (or the .pix42-license inside it) on each one.

Yes. Activation and all Pro features work entirely offline. No internet connection is required after you import the license file.
Non-destructive adjustments are stored by content ID, not by file path. Rename, move — your edits follow the file automatically.
