Pix42 opens the folder you already have and starts building previews in the background. It is useful when you need to review camera exports, downloaded assets, screenshots, scientific images, or archive folders without creating a managed library first.
The viewer supports common photo formats and less common files that often force a workaround: RAW camera files, PSD, FITS, OpenEXR, JPEG 2000, JPEG XL, AVIF, HEIC/HEIF, WebP, TIFF, SVG, video, audio, and archives.
